So far I've driven the following:

Eagle - quite slow but nice to drive
Attached File  RS69xEagleSolitude.zip   341bytes   1 downloads
BT20 - also a bit slow but nimble
Attached File  RS69xBT20Solitude.zip   343bytes   2 downloads
Cooper - heavy but fast, a bit of a handful
Attached File  RS69xCooperSolitude.zip   347bytes   2 downloads

I think that the BT24 2ill be the one to beat with the fastest top speed and the lightest weight.

The Lotus 49 might be good too, but I'd recommend using zero front wing.  Too much wing makes the rear of the car unstable at high speed.

Wow, I had a great time at this track.  The Lotus looked good on paper being very light and powerful, but the trick was to get a stable setup and drive in a way that was controllable.

I had a so-so start, trailing the three top guys for a few laps and then got close to Dean Logan.  I got past and promptly went off slightly and gave the position back.  I thought that I'd never see Dean again, but I started creeping back closer.  I had him in sight way off, and suddenly he was going very slow with 1 lap+ to go.  I piled on the heat as well as I could and Dean got onto the grass in the final esses (Spitzkling or Krummbachtal according to the circuit map) and I had a grand run on him out of the final corner, ending up pipping him by 0.003 seconds at the line.

Sorry I missed it.

My chances of joining the race looked slim early in the evening as my combined Telephone-TV-Internet service broke down.  The company's recorded message said it might be back before 3:00 AM !!!

I managed to notify Bob with my smartphone...

So I started watching whatever I had recorded, "Just go with it" was there (I'm a sucker for Jennifer Aniston).  When the movie finished, I realized me service was back.

To tell you the truth, I would have had time to join but I was feeling too sleepy.  I should have taken a nap instead of watching the movie.
