I reserved a spot for ADC Team 67 for the 2006 season.  First race is January 7.  The schedule looks reasonable and I'd really like to do this.  Anyone else interested?    B)

Count me in James.  :)

I couldn't commit to doing the Le Mans event, but I'd like to make amends.

I've always liked the GTP mod, too bad it didn't catch on when Gerry was running events for ADC.

If the racing is on Saturdays, this might work for me.  The more drivers, we'll have more options to fill our team rosters during race weekends as events are at least 6 hrs long. I'll drive for the team if you'll have me Jim. We'll need the experience to prepare for next year's LeMans race.

Definitely count me in. Depending on start times, the first stint might be difficult for me to make.

6 and 12 hour races seem short to me now. At least we know that we are capable to last for 12 hours. :) The speed will come with time.

If someone can help me, I'd be glad to provide a server for practice and some intra-mural racing.

Well, I'm in, just depends on when the races are. And I think 2 cars with 3-4 drivers in each (depending on how many takers, of course) would be ideal.

Now, the second car's number 65 or 69? I think we should choose the Jag, it's more reliable than the Sauber, and handles a bit better.

I'd be interested too, but like Anthony it'd depend on the time...can't do any GPL races for the present so this may be the only opportunity for the time being.
BTW I'd be happy for WOSEC to convert to rFactor when the time is right.
Far more forgiving crash boxes resulting in less catastrophic accidents would be great for an endurance scenario.
O.K. John. So...when ARE we gonna cut and run??

A minimum of 3-4 driver a car should be mandatory.
With the poweroutage of David I have seen that this should be fine. But yes it looks fine :)

Okay, so we've agreed we're running next year, and it looks like we may be running two cars (67 & 69?). I'm still strongly suggesting the Jag (for at least 1 of the 2 cars).

It would be great if we could have a pool of 10 to 12 drivers and then draw 3 to 4 for each race depending upon each person's availability.  The rules say drivers on the same team can switch between cars, so no problem there.

Yes an ADC team of 10 - 12 drivers would be fine :) for 2 cars.
And Chuck, try the Sauber (C-Class). We gave the mechanics a big kick in the a*** and the car should drive well now :D

Unless it's already taken, maybe #65 would be appropriate for a second car.

I dunno, does the team have to select one chassis per car for the whole season?

Edit: Nevermind, I see in the rules the chassis stays the same all season...still would give us a choice of two cars perhaps

If not, it may be interesting to try them all.  The Mazda may be quicker on shorter, tighter circuits.

This is looking like more fun than drowning puppies...hehe    (just kidding)

I'd be interested, same issue for me as everyone else as far as scheduling. I'm on call for work every other weekend so we'll have to see how that goes, it's only for an 8 hour period for me.

Good I like the Sauber for the big tracks and its ok for the short tracks too. Its not the speed that counts if the car wont stay in one pice.
The first race is at the Norising 1.43mls, I was doing 50 sec. laps there with no setup. It is hard to think that there are people that are going much faster. This is going to be a bull ring and the leaders will be in trafic all race.

If our Lemans performance is anything to go by 'car 54' would be more appropriate hehe.

I think the Mazda would be a really good choice for a second car. Looking at the schedule, it's (The Mazda) not going to lose any ground at Norsring, Oulton Park, Brands, Laguna & Donington Park. Frankly for me it's by far the car that is the most fun to drive. Very good on tight twisty tracks, I can definently get better times with the Mazda on those tracks, not to mention getting around traffic.

The Sauber or Jag and then have the Mazda as the other car would be a very good combination.

Maybe at LeMans we would have to work as a team and have the Sauber pull the Mazda down the straights  :lol2:

I just looked at the rules and we can only have 1 chassis pre teem. so we will have to choose one or make 2 teams :( But with one team and 2 or more cars we can move drivers around as we see fit. with 2 teams by the rules we can not.

The ADC Lemans strategy was to aim for survival over speed which was working quite well until errr....
So...perhaps we should pick the most reliable car and continue this strategy?
If not we'll be having to pull some speed out of our...as quite a few Lemans racers were putting us in the shade to say the least.
O.K. John. So...when ARE we gonna cut and run??
