I don't understand how the hand-off is done. Can you elaborate? Certainly you don't mean that two people need to be on the same computer. How then does someone take over? I haven't used the pit-stop patch yet.

I bicycle raced for 35 years, from age 16 through 52. Rather than watch, I always feel more like being in the race myself. I do watch some sports but only sporadically.

I'm pretty cynical about Pro sports. Anytime there's so much money and prestige at stake, there is a tremendous incentive to cheat. And sport officials are often more interested in the entertainment value of the show than fairness and clean competition.

Not much to say about my effort here. I've done better laps in the past.

On the first lap I had two spins, one of which left me stuck, so I had to use a reset. Then I blew my engine for my second reset. I tried a second lap but after some errors, I gave up.

As grim as that sounds, I really enjoy Targa and constantly marvel at the effort that the track makers put into it. Someday I'll hopefully learn most of it before Alzheimer's set in.

just know, NO STOPPING IN PITS at completion of 1st lap, unless you are finished running.

I don't understand the reasoning of this, although it's pretty inconsequential.

It seems to me that the way to run this is, you put in enough fuel for the laps you want to do, do one lap trying to not have any major crashes, then do another with a bit more wild abandon to see if you can improve it - or not.

Since you are allowing 3 resets, refueling can be done anywhere on the track. Now, if we were running Pro Damage (which would be very difficult here), the only way to run another lap if you had major damage or got stuck off the road, would be to quit and come back in the pits.

So the only question that remains is why did the server assign numbers 25 and 91 for Saturday's race?

As for the missing mips, I'll create them and offer them to the community.

Wow, great researching Michael. I know very little (nothing) about number assigning, but I'd bet that the mod creators will be happy that you found this bug and that you can offer a fix. Maybe someone there can shed some light on the extra number assigning.
