Check the Calendar, and also the GTR and GTL forums for announcements.

Just got GTR2 and could use some assistance getting it together.  I see something about verion 1.1, but the GTR 2 site has patches for versions 1.4 and 1.5?

Don, you are looking at the wrong GTR.

You need to look at GTR2. The 1.4 and 1.5 patch are for GTR(1).

That is good to hear. :)

Normally you don't have to wait 10 hours for an answer here.

Looking forward to see you in GTR2 too. :gpler:

One other thing.  Is there any downside to putting in the file that lets you have all tracks and cars?  I'm doing the little school thing and it's amusing, but that unlocking thing is so. . . well. . . console - isn't it?

Don D

Create an empty file called SDNDTG.DYN in your GTR2 install folder.

The only downside is that you can do the career anymore.

All players on your install will have all tracks and all cars.

Rob, doesn't the original player (the one created before the SDNDTG.DYN file is installed) retain the ablility to run the career? I realize all players created after the installation of the file will have everything available to him, but I thought the original player was untouched. I could very well be wrong...

Is it 'console-ish' to put in the cheat, Don? Well, I guess one could say that, but I've never heard anyone complain. I myself have no time to run careers, so I welcomed the possibility to skip all that. I assure you that you won't be looked down upon for doing so.

I just rename that file to something else to turn off the "all unlocked" feature and rename it back whenever I need something unlocked.  This is with a profile that was created without the "all unlocked" file installed.

That makes perfect sense Dick. Thanks for the option. That should eliminate Don's concerns.

No. That is how it works in GTL. In GTL only the new players get every thing unlocked.

In GTR2 even the old player has all cars and tracks.

But I see Dick has found a fix for that.

Thanks, guys.  David, I misstated in my earlier post - I meant that having a career mode that is needed to unlock tracks, etc. is consolish.

By not being able to run the career mode, what does that mean?  no AI races, no school?
