I agree. I do not see why we need fancy grids. Just go with 1x1 staggered with about 8 - 10 meters spacing.

Dang! I was in 5th with 2.5 laps to go and my engine started smoking.  I made it back to the pits to hopefully do a reset, but when I pulled into my stall, GPL “stopped working” as opposed to a Disco (?).

At the start, I got past Navonne and St-Cyr. Then in T2, Oud came together with another car ahead of me and that left me in 4th place. For many laps, I was very happy doing my target laptimes, but Oud caught back up and passed me on lap 15.

Then St-Cyr was gaining, but I felt that I could hold him off to the end. I got a bit of breathing room when he had a small slide. Shortly after, my engine started smoking and I was very much down on power. It looked like I had enough of a cushion to do a reset in the pits but when I came to a stop in my pitstall, GPL crashed.  Bummer. Two DNFs in two races.

Any idea gentlemen? Mr Simpson or Michi?
Until next race.

I'd say it's most likely that you have either a problem with steady power to the wheel or a connection problem through your USB port.

I really drove my heart out at this difficult circuit.  I started 4th on the grid and got past Oud before the first turn. After a small error, he got past and I chased.

After each of several small errors, I kept creeping back up behind Oud and Navonne, and surprisingly, Hammond who all three were very close together, but never within striking distance.

Then with about 10 laps to go, Navonne had his crash and I was up into 3rd.  I was feeling pretty proud of my driving and felt that since passing here is very difficult, I had 3rd wrapped up.  Two laps later, I suddenly had GPL freeze, along with Dodge, right in front of me, at the exact same time.  My teammie, Holada discoed at the exact same moment.  Bummer!

The racing was excellent and although I got held up in lapped traffic a bit, it wasn't anything unexpected with there being few places to safely let someone by at Adelaide.

I've watched Sky and the other British channels F1 coverage, and rate them miles above NBCSN and any other American coverage. Hobbs is to old, Matchett out of touch, Diffey is a corporate shill. It can't be any worse then it's been.

+++++:thumbs up:

We get Sky here in Canada and while the US coverage has improved, Brundell and the Sky team is much better.
