You bet, Ronnie!  :)

If no team has picked you up yet, I may release one of my guys to make room for you.

(Shhh...  Not really as I already have a good squad driving for Lucky but if they get a hint that they think they're on the chopping block, I'll get the best out of them.  Nudge, nudge, ;) ;))

Hi kids.
I'm glad to be back running GPL. I tried last year, but ran into problems. Thanks to Bo for letting me in. I won't make all the races, but I'll try. My last time running GPL in a league was with the Screamers way back in 2003, I think. At least my last GPL backup is dated Oct 31 2003.
My GPL Rank is +14.77. So as you can see, I'm slow.  The highly esteemed Eldred might be faster then me.  ;-)
If I'm a hindrance in any way let me know. I'm used to letting cars go by.  lol

Thanks guys, see you on track.

On the strength of an endorsement from Arturo Pereria, Bo Bruce has invited me to join the D2 division of oAo.  I am honored.

Quicken tells me that I bought GPL on October 31, 1998 for $36.56 at CompUSA in Falls Church, Virginia.  Excel tells me that I have therefore owned this game for 6,357 days.  I wish I could claim that I have spent a little of each of those days behind the wheel, but alas that is not even laughably close to reality.  I was active early on in a bunch of different leagues, but then dropped out 13 years ago due to other commitments.  About a year ago I became reinvigorated.  Arturo patiently and kindly coached me back into the modern world.  CompUSA went out of business years ago, but I'm still around.  And I've gotten more fun out of that $36.56 than any money I ever spent anywhere.

I'll be in the back of the field at Kyalami, I hope, stuffed into a creaking Cooper.  I will do whatever is humanly possible to stay out of your way.  With any luck one day I may be able to afford a Brabham.  Hell, this is GPL: anything is possible!

welcome Bob!
the way 'privateers' work, is check the STANDINGS.. there is 1 RESERVED grid spot for a privateer each race. that spot goes to the lowest Privateer in the standings.

if at the launch of the server, it is seen that there are still spots open, and no one else in chat to fill it/them, then the NEXT lowest privateer in standings in order may join.
any questions, don't hesitate to ask.. if not me, most here know 'most' of the rules :)

Not any more, ZZ.  Not sure what the hell happened, but I can't drive these things worth a damn now... :wallbash:

Welcome Mr. Higdon!    Now there are two Bob H's, and a Bob S., plus a Robert and a Roberto.  I guess I'll go back to using BoBHo .  Glad to have you on board.
