Check this topic out and make sure you understand it ('cause I don't, yet!).  But I think you have to be down to the pit speed limit when you firsst enter pit lane.  I did a race start and pitted on the next lap tonight.  I was careful to be at the proper speed at the entrance to the pits proper and still got nailed with a drive through penalty.  Beware!!!

There is an advanced setting in controls that allows you to "cushion the blow" so to speak, of stomping on the gas pedal.  It's called Input Momentum and I've found it very helpful in getting out of the pits and off the slow corners without a throttle induced spin...

I set mine to 60%.  I can still get wheel spin exiting the pits but it's much easier to anticipate and control.  The downside is that throttle response is just that tiny bit delayed.  But for me, it's worth it.

Won't even recognise my email to recover my login details.
