Didn't qualify because of penalty from Rouen...
Good start... a big pile up in front because somebody stalled? But managed to dodge around it...
P6... being held up a bit by a Ferrari in front, gave him space... Lotus came flying by to take 6th... and then a couple of laps later.. he disconnected....
Later managed to overtake... P5.. and was giving chase to cars ahead.... untill both vanished and i got 3rd...

I watched it happen live on Colin's stream. It was heartbreaking. Just one LR tire on the dirt at the exit of one of these fast corners ... and just like that, it's all over.
This circuit is brutal.

This was another predictable bloodbath, of course, as anyone who saw the D1 results last week might expect. Strangely, though only four of fourteen starters today finished (compared to five of fourteen last week), the net loss in koins gained versus koins to be expended in repairs was far less than that cranked out by our D1 brothers. For every koin they gained, they spent 3.9 in repairs; for us it was just 2.7. And we had no reported contacts between cars, whereas our seniors counted fourteen cars banging into each other.
I had the usual PB in practice before qualifying, but decided to join the field at the back and let attrition do its filthy work. That went fine for the first seven laps and I'd gained seven positions. But the end came at Blanchimont where I, and others, failed to come out of the left-hand bend in even a remotely decent line. You can go off there and down the hill into a nice, clear field or you can wind up in the trees where angry baboons are waiting to rip you and your car to pieces. All season long I'd had nothing but one tiny incident that required five miserable little koins to repair. Today I met the apes and have a 20-koin bill to prove it. The economic structure of this league is nothing if not predicated upon taking two steps forward and three steps back.

So Team StickShifters had both of their drivers on the grid, and for one reason (blown engine) or another (CTD) they did both not get over the finish line at the start. Has this ever happened to a team before in oAo's history?!

Probably not, but I can tell you of an incident involving teammates that was even worse. In the 2017 season Rob Fleurke and Greg Taber, teammates, qualified first and second at Nurburgring. The start was uneventful with Taber following Fleurke at a respectful distance until they approached the first turn, a left. Taber rear-ended his team leader and knocked both of the cars out of the race. Greg retired from the league after that race.

Well, I finally stopped pounding my head on my desk over my exit from this race. I think during practice for this event I’d crashed at just about every turn BUT Holowell. Now I can cross that one off my list. Aarrgghh.
