Hi Guys, still a few races away but I was wondering if we will do a normal start here or will we have a "Rolling Start" as we have done at the smaller Ovals in the past?

Thanks in advance

I started out with nothing and still have most of it left.

Look closely at 3 of your closest friends. If they seem OK it's probably you.

john.. good question... maybe start a survey?

edit:
also, if i recall the need for a rolling start was more due to the banked s/f line area.. maybe?

Standing start is less confusing. Its like "ready... go!" pretty simple and straight forward.

I'm with Dag here. IIRC, when we did a two-line rolling start at Daytona a few years ago, one line was moving (correctly) at 100 mph; the other lane was crawling along at 100 kph. I don't care how often and how loudly you broadcast the message, someone won't get it.

The rolling start was because it's an oval and oval have rolling starts. We really should enshrine it in the rules that the oval race has a rolling start because the question comes up every year. The speed questions is mood because only the polesitter needs to keep a certain speed the rest is following the leader. It's simple formation flying

Not when one line is moving 60 mph and the other is led by a guy doing 60 kph.

We have two pole sitters now? Whoever gets top spot determines the speed everyone else forms up behind him, if you line up the car in front of you over your left or right front tyre you even get a a staggered grid.
