Best lap of 1.53:23 with some reserve especially under braking on the main straight as I was lifting early because Tremblant has a strict 92 decibel limit enforced by a sonometer  that change places around the track during a session...

92Db???  wow. I remember back in 2002 at the Westwood kart club they were trying to get things under 100. One of the reasons Greg Moore Raceway was built on res land was due to the noise. Of course within 4 years there was a condo development backing on to the pit complex. Is there anything similar near Tremblant that is the cause of that limit? 92 isn't very high.

Looks like you were having fun anyways. Beauty of a track.

There is a lot of country houses around the lake near the pits worth in excess of $750,000 plus many condos nearby; it is worst in cloudy conditions as the noise stays low and echos on the mountains near by :Oo:

Up until last year, they would warn you once and let you resume if you exceed the set limit but starting this year, no chance, once and your out and of course, no reimbursement  :weight_lift2:

Still fun to race on a classic track, next year Watkins Glen and Mosport

Looks like fun!
The Vette is yours? Great car!
Were the rules -n no passing unless let by by the other driver using a blinker?

Now for the scolding!

1.Screw the decibel limit!
2. Lean on the other cars and force them to use the blinker earlier. It is a multi-class situation. Slower cars should know they will have to yield asap. After all, it is a RACE track.

Yes Eric it is my car ; the problem is that, owners of fast cars think they have to be in the expert class regardless of skill.....out of 20 cars in my class, there was about 1 or 2 faster than mine between 1.50 to 1.52, and 5-6 around 1.55 most other were over 2 minutes...

So yes no passing unless the car ahead blinks to let pass; see this one when I ran several laps behind a green Porsche; he was faster some places and slower other parts, probably could have pass in a real race but still fun to reel him in....
