Well, here is my current setup.  I built the box.  It's a Core2 Duo E6850 3ghz, 4gb RAM, 2x 500gb drives, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS.  My wheel is a ECCI 6006 F1 which is a limited edition Trackstar with all the bells and whistles.  I just use a normal office chair.  It's comfortable and I haven't had any problems with it moving around at all.  For racing audio I use a Plantronics DSP-500 USB headset with a boom mic and inline volume/mute.  I suppose that if I win the lotto I'll setup a "gamer only" system with a cockpit or something, but right now this just suits me fine.

Wow!

Some of you guys have a lot of money and some of us don't.  I suppose the guys that haven't posted their rigs are embarrassed or don't have a digi cam.  I do the best with what I have and it's all I have.

My rig is just a desk & wooden chair, too. But a pleasant place to drive.

Someone has been to an indycar race or two (The team penske hat). Very nice set up. Does your eyes hurt at the end of the night?

The scale out the window is pretty much perfect. You do have things going on in your peripheral, but it's stuff thats supposed to be there.. I use to have a Track IR Pro, and while it was pretty cool look into a corner with your own head movements, that did cause strain.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all of the ideas.  Here's what I've got so far:
Picked up the Obutto cockpit.  Seems to work well so far.  A guy I know was also selling his 42 inch TV cheap so that's new too.  Still fine tuning it but I think it's already a big improvement over what I had.

One issue I'm having is getting access to the seat.  Not that it's hard to get into, but...
you get the idea.
