Here are some photos from my visit to the Petroleum Museum in Midland, Texas, last month. Sorry: no pics of oil derricks. I spent the entire time in the Chaparral Gallery with a huge grin on my face. The first photo is me next to the 2E, the favorite car of Jim Hall and myself. The next photo I'm behind the 2F; you can see the 2D in the background. The third picture is the 2D in its separate display room. In the last picture you can see me sitting in a 2E ... well, not the real one, though fiberglass like the real one and with a third pedal that moves the rear wing. A very tight squeeze, and I'm not a big guy. Yes, I made motor sounds.
