Borovaya is known for it's mass freezes as well at 36fps as 60fps. Donnybrooke for sure at 60fps, chance is still there at 36fps I suppose.

I really urge the TSG and Bruce to change the calender and replace these two tracks. They are both great tracks, and very fun to drive, but to me we must try to avoid problems and choose more reliable tracks.

From Boroyava did not have any reference, so when in doubt we will look for a replacement if it confirms what Robert tells us. As for Donny, OAO did two races there in 2013 (one for each division at 36fps) and we did not suffer massive disconnections, the circuit is also a great quality. Robert, thank you very much for your comments, these are always welcome.

Personally I have seen mass screenfreezes at Borovaya as well at 36fps as 60fps. At least at UKGPL.

This was with 65 mod/60fps, the other time was with 67 mod at 36fps, IIRC. It's a well made track, very tricky with unforgivable hedges. As a matter of fact I have made a lo-res version for it back in 2015. Had fps drops, being on an old P4 machine back in 2014-2016....

Also at Donnybrooke, there is a gap in the middle of the track lay-out, at the left/right chicane. I've seen mass freezes there, at least in one race. Maybe Iestyn can confirm this!?

For Donnybrooke, I remember when it was released and I started attacking the kerb there, getting a CTD. I asked Ginetto to fix it and he did straight away, so that it still gives a bump and car damage, but a bit less and without the CTD risk. Was it that gap Rob? Can you remember which race it was? 65s?

I'd hate to lose Donnybrooke. It tends to produce good racing.

As far as I know, we've run there 4 times -- 3 times in the 67s (twice in season and one fun race) and once in the 65s. Have we had more than the usual amount of discos there? I didn't think the place was unstable.

If Donnybrooke is fixed as Iestyn says, it's OK ofcourse. Indeed I was referring to the kerb/gap (not sure what mod). I agree with Michael Donnybrooke is an excellent race track, I like it a lot!

I suggest replacing Borovaya though...

Borovaya is one of the tracks of the calendar I am/was waiting the most. I never drove it and was happy to race in. But... well... if the TSG considers it has to be replaced, it should be done.

Marcos, the chosen circuits should not present risks of massive disconnections, there are many of them that are beautiful but for that reason they should be discarded. I share your feelings about Boroyava.

I'm not really sure about a Phillip Island. I think it may be a little small for it.
I believe the track has been tested online, so it should be good, but it doesn't hurt to try a public race.
I'll suggest this at GPLRACER if maybe they can host a Fun Race within a few weeks to test how it goes.
If no problem occurs I think it would be good.

Are other suggestions welcome?

Or Bikernieki, another Soviet track, like Borovaya. That said, it can be hard on lower end systems, like Borovaya. I'm suffering fps drops as well at both tracks, and then have to lower antialias and anisotropic filtering...

Anderstorp is not a track that appeals to me, kind of a Mickey Mouse circuit, very tight. I'm open to Phillip Island and Yannick's suggestions.

But Brno? Have you forgotten what a killing field that place was last year? In successive weeks half the starters --- 8/16 --- DNFd. And Sachsenring still is to be faced, where I am confident the casualties will be even worse. As it stands right now, only three of nine teams have more than 40 coins. If we keep up this pace, we'll all be driving loaner BRMs before August is through with us.
