Hey all,

I have a friend with a Mac and he wants to know how he can get Rfactor to work on it, so he can join our league.

Thanks for the help,

TJ

TJ.

I run rFactor in my iMac with no problems what so ever. Tell your friend he will need to use Bootcamp that comes with OS X and a new version of Windows (currently I run XP since Win7 is so new and I only use the windows side for rFactor).

This all assumes he is running an intel based mac.

I had no problem with drivers for vid/sound/controllers at all.

If you need any other info please let me know.

Chuck

:stupid: It can also work under Codeweavers' CrossOver. I put together a setup guide  Here No DX 9 or split axis, and not quite as fast as XP, but close.

Ok..I had not heard of that software before. I guess I would like Bootcamp over that because it comes with OSX and I have full functionality as if it were a PC.

lol, since it is a pc at that point. I made up the guide in an effort to bring folks over to rFactor who refuse to install or don't wish to reboot...they're a finicky lot.  It's also handy for testing skins if all your graphics apps are in OS X. I personally Boot Camp it as well for the proper Logitech driver. If a split-axis solution becomes available, which could happen as the app is developed, I'll be all over it.

Thanks for the heads up and that software though....I might have to give it a try just so can use the Mac side more full time.

This forum has pretty much gone elsewhere.

Try http://srmz.net/inde...p?showforum=125 or http://www.nogriprac...isplay.php?f=27 for rFactor help.
