Tom...  Waaayyy back when, for a time, we used to run mod packs side-by-side as in GP cars with FD variants.  Is this possible with the 1966 CanAm mod?  Reason I ask is that in testing a Genie today, I logged a time far quicker than anything in the books for the day.  A 2m21s lap and the fastest on record is a 2m26s for a McLaren which was doubtless faster.  If at all possible, I'd like to try an AT Genie in the Friday prelim.  With it, I'm right in the 26s ballpark.

I'll set the server up to accept both and see if there is a slot for the CA 66. Remember there's not as many slots in the CA 71. Oh wait I forgot, Bob will be hosting the second race. Will have to mention it to him before the race, also Urban was wanting to drop back to 36 fps for the second race.

I've put up my server and tried to allow Std and AT cars in both mods, but I don't think it's possible. What I've ended up with is the choice of CA71 Standard or CA66 AT cars at the moment.

But if I set it up for one mod only with "GP, F2 and F3" enabled in the Hosting > Security tab, you can run that mod and be able to run BT or AT cars - HOWEVER, only if you direct connect through GPL's Multiplayer mode after selecting the trainer car you want first.

So I'll put my server up with the CA66 mod with all Trainers available for testing. If you join through iGOR, it defaults to the Standard CA66 car.

On Friday, the CA66 cars are the first race which is very short unfortunately, but maybe we can enable this for other races.

I'll try my hand at the CA66 Genie in the AT car too, to give you some competition.

It's about 45 minutes to post time for the CA66 race.  I'm just nicely logged off the server where I successfully ran a couple of laps in the AT Genie.  Looks good to go!  :)

Thanks, fellas.

Evidently some confusion on my part as it seems I joined the wrong server.  Two were presented with one nominated as capable of accepting AT-spec CanAm 1966 models but only via the IP through Multiplayer in-game.  That's the one I logged on to and had a lonely run of seven laps.  Still, it was fun to try the down-spec Genie which was much closer to real-life lap times of the day.  Here's the results from GPLRA...

Driver:  Doni66C - BraBT115

Practice laps
Lap 1: 2m36.434s
Lap 2: 2m26.545s
Lap 3: 2m25.761s

Race laps
Lap 0: 46.434s
Lap 1: 2m31.565s
Lap 2: 2m25.083s
Lap 3: 2m25.681s
Lap 4: 2m25.011s
Lap 5: 2m24.611s
Lap 6: 2m23.860s
Lap 7: 2m24.603s

Is this something we could try again in future, pls?  :)

PS: I've also tried a BT-spec Genie here.  A lap of 2m30-point something seconds as best.
