Hi guys :)

Iīve made a shorter season Schedule this time. This is because our rFactor1 server will close down for good by the end of this year and I couldnīt find a replacement yet.
So this Schedule is not final:

Race# Date Track Laps Series
1 22/09/2014 Pocono 150 USPitsPocono 60 CART98
2 29/09/2014 Arizona 150 USPits Arizona Raceway 100 CART98
3 06/10/2014 Toronto 100 Toronto 2007 56 CART98
4 20/10/2014 Texas 150 Texas_CFM 100 CART98
5 27/10/2014 Vegas 150 USPits Nevada Intīl Speedway 100 CART98
6 03/11/2014 Road America 100 Road America 1998 25 CART98
7 17/11/2014 California 150 USPits Fontana 75 CART98
8 24/11/2014 Spaghetti 150 Monza67 42 CART98
9 01/12/2014 Indy 200 Indianapolis_500 80 CART98
10 08/12/2014 UK 100 Silverstone ī88 52 CART98
11 22/12/2014 Michigan 150 USPits Michigan 75 CART98

Iīve used the same tracks we used last season AND races would be hosted 3 in a row, then a 2 weeks rest, and then another 3 races in a row.

Let me know your thoughts AND which tracks that Iīve not included could be replaced by others.

Letīs get moving :)

Hi, Art!  :)

Well...  We'll have to move on it soon.  Finalizing things, I mean.  I hold out hope that we'll get a new carrier soon.

As for the sked time-wise...  Fine.  It's what we have to do to make it wrap up by year's end.

As for the venues...  There are two on the sked that I regard as sort of wild card races which never figured in any CART races at anytime.  That would be Monza and Silverstone.  Could we possibly look a replacing those two with events that did, at some time or other, actually run a CART race?  Brands Indy springs to mind.  Any others that might be considered worthy?  Below, a wiki link listing of all circuits that CART ran on...

About the server, I am waiting for an answer from a guy who manages a big league. They have many servers available, though I am not sure they are free. I will let you know as soon as I get any news on this matter.

OK, back from a holiday in Mew Mexico.  I like Doni's idea if this is really our last run with this excellent mod.

That said I love driving at Monza and Silverstone.

I hope you have enjoyed your vacations, Lee :) :) :)

I also love racing at Monza and Silverstone was a blast :)

So, as roadcourses, we have:

Toronto07
Road America
Monza
Silverstone

I have checked my database ;) and, imho, we could race at:

Montreal
Edmonton
Long Beach (short version)
Mid Ohio
Portland
Surfers Paradise
Watkins Glen

I will upload them tonight and will post the link after that.

However, we should leave one or 2 of the selected tracks off the Schedule. Which ones? ;)

Btw, I was thinking that, considering we are usually a few drivers, I would try to host with my PC. If this Works ok for everybody (specially for Lee and Donnie), then we could Schedule a normal season.

And what about oval tracks?

We could replace Chicagoland with Pocono?  Any other track? :)

An 11-month layoff is a bit much, isn't it, Artie?  ;)

Ok, let me know asap is this Schedule sounds better:

Race# Date Track Laps
1 29/09/2014 Pocono 150 USPitsPocono 60
2 06/10/2014 Milwaukee 150 JNS_Milwaukee 100
3 13/10/2014 Toronto 100 Toronto 2007 56
4 20/10/2014 Texas 150 Texas_CFM 100
5 27/10/2014 Chicago 150 USPits Illinois 100
6 03/11/2014 Long Beach 100 Long Beach 1998 64
7 10/11/2014 Michigan 150 USPits Michigan 75
8 17/11/2014 Spaghetti 150 Monza67 42
9 24/11/2014 Florida 150 Homestead 1998 100
10 01/12/2014 California 150 JNS Fontana 75
11 08/12/2014 Watkins Glen 100 Watkins Glen Nascar 41
12 15/12/2014 Indy 200 Indianapolis_500 80

Consider there were no free Mondays till December 15th. If we want to have them, then we will need to Schedule less events.

Btw, I will test hosting with my PC, which I think could handle up to 10 drivers. What about some testing this next Thursday, usual startime?

Trouble, Art.  I can't join the Atlas CART98 server.  Over the last 20 minutes or so, I have tried my old files, downloaded the new offering of The Pits tracks and installed plus have adopted the latest Atlas.rfm.  I can see the server and get as far as the password prompt page.  On inputting the password, I keep getting timed out.  Any probs your end?  Any suggestions for a fix, svp?

It's 8:40pm my local time.  Our practice due to start in 20 minutes, I believe.

Sorry I couldn´t make it :( My monitor stop working and I have just bought a new one.

Did you use the correct password? Being timed out is one of the possible answers to the wrong password.

Oh, I'm quite sure that I used the correct pword, Arturo.  Still something of a mystery as ultimately I did get on the server.  I hung around for about 35-40 minutes.  Had the track to myself.  :(

One thing...  I did notice that once joining the server, the track texture on the exit of T3 seemed different from our previous version.  Initially, I tried joining with the old download but after encountering troubles, pulled down the Pits files from your link and installed those.  Not sure if that was the problem or not.

Looking forward to Monday night!  :)

PS: A nice, little oval warmup for us Saturday morning with the oAo @ Michigan!  Double :)

I did not change anything in the server, except replacing the name of the track we hosted in the last race (Michigan) with the new one. No parameters were changed, much less the password.

Running in "circles" used to be a good way to find the right password ;)
