Congratulations Enrique! That was a good drive. It looks like getting some rest Saturday morning helped you. That was also good job by Arturo. Your qualifying time was better than my PB (1:28.5*)in the 312. I got a little worried at one point that if I didn't quit making mistakes you would beat me too.

That was fun! I was very cautious the first few laps. I wanted to make sure I didn't rear end Enrique. I struggle terribly sometimes when I'm behind him. I gradually worked my way closer. I was patient but I kept thinking I need to get by him as soon as possible. That was easier thought than done. I had some trouble tailing him closely through Ascari and lost grip and hit the guard rail. Luckily it didn't seem to do much to the car. The car pulled heavily to the right braking into Parabolica but that gradually faded and within a 2 or 3 more laps it wasn't noticeable. I worked my way back once again and then I thought I might finally have an opportunity to pass. It was the first time I was able to stay right on Enrique's tail exiting the Parabolica. I gave it too much throttle a little bit too early and spun the car. The next time around Enrique was going slow by the pit wall and I went flying by. At first I thought he had an engine failure but he was quickly back behind me. You didn't have to be so kind and wait for me. I gained a few tenths over the next lap or two and then he must have made a mistake because the gap went to 3.5 seconds. Then I got greedy and pushed the car too hard. I tried to carry too much speed into Parabolica and ended up spinning off into the sand. Now I was faced with an impossible task, I've got to cut 1 second per lap off Enrique's lead. I tried as hard as I could the rest of the race. I couldn't gain more than .5 seconds in a lap. Most gains were in the hundredth of seconds. A couple times I made little mistakes and lost .5 seconds.

Did you blow your engine on purpose Enrique after you got the checkered flag? I thought you did. If you didn't, that was close. 200 meters earlier and I'd have went by.

I've been thinking I might like to drive the Honda at Riems even though it's against the rules. I could be greedy and stay in the Eagle to try to score the maximum points available. With Iestyn in the BRM and Donnie in the Honda, I've had too big of an advantage. And with Arturo in the Ferrari, the Eagle has too big of a top speed advantage on these last two tracks. I think I will drive the Honda unless somebody objects. It's likely, I wouldn't stand a chance against Iestyn if drove a BRM but maybe the Honda will give me a chance.

my race are a "strong" race in speccial MONZA....because is the gpl  "schooll.
  . I take the lotus because  " fastest"...but I know the drivers in that track are  stronger .all the time .
and I know  MONZA IS FIGHT.
   at  the begining my main idea are try to made the first 5 places ( I have lotus)  BUT " IN THAT CAR" I made POLE...........( AMAZING...)
   my main "concentration". are "stay on track and be fast",  and I will.....BUT.....a man driving a super eagle  car,
  try to STOP my iluttions.....
In the begining I start my car faster, but the "iron" eagle don't easily leave me alone.
   I can keep my position, ( because I have lotus)  :afro: ) but he have a EAGLE........................ :ak: " gentlemans ..we have a fight..... :bigsmile:
   and so.................
I have a big batlle whit greg,  and we have a stong race, he push the " eagle" like a evel... :blues: ...but I push my lotus stronger.....
  in a moment of the race ( I dont renmember the lap) the eagle stop to  follow me for a few seconds and  I tought... ?????
...front pit lane and in a 1 position I tought  "hey gregory" where are you??? and I decide to wait him a few seconds.....
because we have a very pretty race and I want to follow that...
BUT..... he overtake me to fast ..and "THE PURSUIT" start..... and start to catch him and I will, ( because he loose the control in parabolica >) and I recovery my place......
   10 laps to go I push my car  stronger, because  gregory start to catch me and he made a amazings times, but.........farina made the same.. and try to move farther and more,
  the times of gregory in any lap are so faster, and that ,made me to try to made better or bettest than him, and I will.... :bigglasses:
