Other changes to our normal rules you might want to be aware of...

Track Cutting

Drivers must have 2 wheels on the track at all times. Kerbing will be considered part of the track as well. This is different than Season 5, so be aware, that kerbing will be considered part of the track and if a driver has 2 wheels up on the kerbing, he will still be considered driving on the track and not cutting.

Any drivers found cutting the track to gain an advantage in qualifying or the race will be penalized unless they quickly allow the car behind the position, or in the case of qualifying, abort the lap. Please drive the tracks the way were intended to be driven. Simple.

Chatting and General Etiquette

Chatting during Qualifying, should be kept to an absolute minimum and used only for race prep info. We would all appreciate it if teammates would use the whisper function. This can be done by simply typing the following: /w drivers first name.

If more than 1 driver have the same first name, enter the first few letters or all of his last name behind his first name. for example : /w Eric Sheehan or /w Eric Schappach.

Chatting during Warmup is allowed, but should not be abused.

Chatting during the race will still be a massive penalty. For no reason should there be any chat during the race unless it's done by the attending League Admin for an emergency situation. This could be Cesare Ascari, Dom Leste, or Bo Bruce if both regulars are not present.

Voting is also not an option and will be considered chatting, no races will be restarted unless the server is experiencing field wide problems.

In the event of a server issue, please allow enough silence so the attending league admin can communicate with another league admin. Aso remember, Frantic chatting and use of un-needed language has no place on the server on race night. Allow the admin to try and solve any issues, and if needed, provide clear advice to the situation.

Limerock Penalties
Lap one incidents

Incident #1
L1 T1
Maxi 's motor blows up entering T1 results it alot of contact between numerous drivers. Most noticeable Boni and Joseph.
No penalties to either Boni or Joseph or any other driver involved.
Racing Incident.

Incident #3

All drives were able to continue.

Both drivers were able to continue.

Incident #5
Lap 20
Kevin Johnson get into the back of Craig Hunter ending Craigs race.

Penalty: Kevin Johnson forfeits all points for the race and will start from the pits for the next race he enters.

The Marshal's feel that the 3/4 rule needs to be addressed.

No where in the rules is there any statement about 3/4 of the car must be clear before you can pass!
http://forums.speedg...showtopic=22797
or
http://mybroga.speed...gpc79/index.htm

A couple of racers brought up some very good points.
Adnan brings up a very good point with regards to the infamous and ridiculous 3/4 rule which is not really a rule (so I dont know why I'm addressing it)
So there is no 3/4 rule!
With this rule in place it effectivly makes road racing a very very boring, Mine as well just race a dragster and be done with the race in 10 seconds or so in which I can imagine there would be no league and Dom would be undefeted. Adnan had a nice plan! no wing, box the turns off ect.. ect.. but sorry, wont be able to use that around here!
Larry brings up a great point. Weather your on the inside or outside going into a turn and you have somebody close behind you need to hold your line!
So for example your in front and you have the inside going into say t3 or something and Suzi rotten crotch is close behind and makes a move to the outside. You now cannot see her in your mirrors (damn these 79 cars have a huge blind spot), you have to assume she's up high trying a pass. You gotta keep your line down low! If you drift up your just as much at fault for contact and anyone else.

Passing is an exercise of race craft and racing etiquette. It takes two to make a successfull pass please be considerate of your fellow racers.

Mid Ohio Penalties

Start of race
No L1 T1 incidents! Good job everyone

Incident #1
Daniel and Augusto both miss brake points. Daniel makes the initial contact into the rear of Boni and sends his car airborn. Augusto also hits Boni while Boni's car is airborn and is way off line because of the speed carried into the turn. Boni also attempts to drive the car while it is missing a wheel.

Penalty's:
1. Daniel receives his second penalty (loss of points for the race, 1 race suspension, start from the pits in his next event).
2. Augusto receives his third penalty (Loss of his top 2 finishes for the season, 2 race suspension, start from the pits the rest of the season)
3. Boni get a warning for driving his car on the racing surface while it is missing a wheel, next warning for this action will result in a one race suspension.

Also suggest to Boni to wait 24 hours before posting and flamming drivers on the web site, This will not be tolerated and the next incident will carry season long suspension and loss of points for all races, This applies to all drivers.

Incident #2
Maxi spins and crossed the track while trying to save the car. The result was contact with Robert Harrison. Both car were able to continue.

No penalty to either driver, racing incident.

Incident #3
Contact between Bo and Phil. Watched this incident alot.
The closing speed between Bo's car and Phil's car was really fast, from the replay it looks like Phil braked early and hard to let Bo thru. This action cause Bo to jam on his brakes and loose control of the car in which he slid accross the track and made contact with Phil. Both cars were able to continue with Bo giving back the position to Phil.

No penalty to either driver, racing incident

Incident #4
Contact between Maxi and Gabriel on lap 3. 2nd incident for Gabriel this season.

Penalty : He will start at the back of the grid ( Not Pits ) for Rattlesnake Point and only recieve 5th place points for Mid Ohio. This was the toughest call the Marshal's have had to make all season !

Rattlesnake Point

Start of the Race

Incident #1 - Boni Piket late start

I think a warning to Piket is all that's needed here, he didn't get off immediately, but he was ready and somehow missed the jump. He was on the recieving end of this kind of stuff many times in season 5 as well, and recieved considerable damage from it in the past, so we will give Piket a warning for this race and ask that all drivers make sure they are aware of the where the lights are, and are ready for the start at each track.

Warning to Boni Piket, if this happens at St.Jovite he will be served the full penalty.

Incident #2 - Legnini taps Schappach

Gabriel Legnini catches Eric on the 90 degrees left handers, and slightly taps him on the back. He waits for him, and doesn't retake the pace until he sees eric ahead on his left side. Race incident.

Incident #3 - Legnini taps Ascari

Ascari seems to be holding his line and Gabriel just seems to go right when he begins to brake, and the contact causes Ascari to move left. Both drivers spin or go off the track. Both drivers continued and Legnini came out of the incident with slight damage.

Considering that Legini was serving a penalty from Mid Ohio, and was involved in 2 minor incidents in this race, he needs to be careful on his return races. Warning to Gabriel Legnini, next simular incident will result in a penalty.

Start of the Race

Incident #1 - Hylands into Gunny

Richard has a great start to this race but he puts a couple drivers at risk and actually taps Gunny, which causes Gunny to lose 1 position. Since everyone was able to continue unharmed, no penalty is being given, but Richard will be on a warning and should race cleanly at Lemans, or a penalty will certaintly be forthcoming.

Warning to Richard Hylands, if this happens at Lemans he will be served the full penalty.

Incident #2 - Gunny and Richard

On lap 3, Gunny catches Richard and attempts to pass him in T6. They both become tangled and go off the track. The Marshals see this as a racing incident, with a warning to Harrison on safe passing. Both drivers continued.

Warning to Robert Harrison, if this happens at Lemans he will be served the full penalty.

Lemans Penalties

Lap one Incidents

Incident #1
Addie is slow to start and this causes CA and Gabriel to get held up and make contact. After further review by all marshals, Addie was held up slightly as well by the drivers in front.

Judgement:
No penalty

Incident #2
Eric Schappach drives around the previously mentioned incident and makes good time, pulling ahead of Ha Maha on the outside. Ha Maha begins to turn right and this causes contact between himself and Eric, ending any chance Eric Schappach had at a good race. If Maha held his line, there would be no incident at all.

Judgement: Ha Maha will start from the pits at Spa Francorchamps.

Incident #3
Kinst Vonsterga failes to slow up after the long straight and loses control of the car, sliding into Craig Hunter. The incident seemed to leave Hunter un-damaged for some reason, but drivers need to be more prepared for this, especially in the case of such high speeds. The incident could've caused major damage to several drivers who were braking and turning in for the corner.

Judgement: Kinst Vonsterga will start from the pits at Spa Francorchamps

Race Incidents

All race incidents we looked at were categorized under " Just Racing ". No penalties.

The reason for the panic braking was my new virus protection pop-up alerted me that it downloaded/installed a new virus definition, and I about died when it did as I thought for sure that I would take out the entire field while staring at my desktop screen until full braking ... and thoroughly relieved that ensuing carnage was limited to just me!   I figured that I better start from the back @ SPA but was surprised to read a full penalty (to start from the pits) until I read this thread in preparation of tomorrows race.  So I failed twice and will exclude myself from Phillip Island.   Sorry.

Kinst. If I understand it correctly you need only start from the pits. You do not need to exclude yourself from the race. If you are able please join in the race.

Spa Francorchamps Penalties

Lap one Incidents

Incident #1
Sector: Starting Grid
Description: Kimmo Kononen fails to start at time, causing a mess behind him, that resulted in a pileup of several cars, and Dizdarevic's car damaged, conditioning his race. It's the second time that Kimmo fails his starting procedure.

Judgement: Kimmo Kononen will start from pits at the next venue he enters.

Other incidents

Incident #2

Lap: 2
Sector: Going towards Les Combes
Description: Boni messes up Eau Rouge and gets a low speed exit. Daniel uses this as an advantage and drafts behind him on the ideal line, then pulls to the inside to perform an overtaking move. With almost the full car forward, Daniel moves SLIGHTLY his car towards the outside. At the same time, Boni Piket moves a bit more towards the inside, both cars touched and crashed. They abandoned the race a couple of corners later.

Judgement: A very unfortunate racing incident. Please people, you have to be more careful when racing side by side, we've seen a lot of side taps on the last races. We will start penalizing in a more severe way if these incidents keep on happening.

Incident #3

Lap: 25
Sector: Les Combes
Description: Kevin Johnson exits slowly from Eau Rouge, and Adnan comes from behind to perform an overtaking move, taking the inside line for it. Coming close to the braking, they are both going side by side. Adnan brakes well, Kevin misses his braking point and doesn't slow down enough, enters too wide into Les Combes, puts his 4 wheels on the grass, loses control of his car and spins towards Addie, tapping him and sending him directly to the wall. That ended his race. Kevin exited the race by himself half a lap later, after finishing 2nd sector.

Judgement: Even if Kevin exited by his own later, this was clearly his fault. Johnson loses all points earned in the race will start from pits at the next venue he enters. He will score half of the points earned at this race.

Kinst, it's not neccesary to exclude yourself from the next venue. With just joining the race from pits, it will be enough. If you decide to not race anyway, we will consider your penalty as served, but again, it's not needed for you to do that. It was just bad luck what happened to you at LeMans.

Clean. Great job everybody!

Other incidents

Incident #1

Lap: 6
Sector: Esses on 2nd sector
Description: Gabriel Legnini bobbles at the exit of T5 and Richard Hylands tries an overtaking move in the esses, going to the inside on the second corner. Gabriel tries to open his line at the exit for leaving room, but Richard goes wide and taps him, sending the Tyrrell into a spin towards the wall. Weird thing, Richard's car wasn't affected at all, it "ghosted" in and out Gabe's car without a scratch, but Gabe's car was upsetted.

Judgement: A very unfortunate racing incident.

A clean race overall. Keep on driving like this.

Sector: Braking on first hairpin on 3rd sector
Description: Gabriel Legnini gets hit on the back by Robert Harrison. All drivers could continue, but it seems that Gabriel got some damage.
Penalty: Warning to Robert Harrison, it was a rather light mistake, but it can seriously compromise another driver's race.

Incident #2

Lap 4
Sector: Braking on first hairpin on 3rd sector
Description: Eric Schappach loses the car under braking and spins off the track, then comes back for getting colected by Gabriel Legnini, both cars receive serious damage. Eric quitted the race, Gabriel was slower after that.
Penalty: Unfortunate racing incident

Incident #3

Lap: 5
Sector: Second to last corner
Description: Gabriel Legnini has a little bobble and his car slides wide. Gunny sticks his car on the inside at the same time and they make contact. Gabriel spins off the track, losing time.
