About the incident in lap 1 between Greg and Nat, I checked the server replay and watched the incident from both cockpits. At the momento of the contact, Greg´s car was clearly ahead and had the turn. From Nat´s cockpit perspective, Greg´s car could be seen before the contact.
Imho, Greg just followed the inside line and Nat closed his line over Greg´s, so there is no reason to blame Greg for the contact. Copy of the incident replay attached to this post.

It is clear that, before blaming Greg for the incident, Nat should have watched the replay. It is quite clear what happened.

Also, I won´t tolerate any more arguments at the chat, much less using unacceptable language, period. We all want to have fun using some basic rules, starting with "respect".

There was some aggravation over that collision and subsequent shunt?  I didn't know.  I looked at my replay cap yesterday...haven't checked the server replay or posted clip...before reading Arturo's posts above and it looked like an open and shut case to these eyes.  Natan carved down towards the inner roadside and hit Greg.  Case closed.

Back with a report tomorrow, fellas!

I didn't know either. Natan did mention he thought he had the lead but my thoughts were on what a difficult time that you and Arturo gave me, and what gentlemen you two are. I thought I may have hit him when I slid wide but it appears I was still about are far inside as I could go when we made contact. I never felt the contact but maybe it played a part in me not being able to keep the car on the inside line all the way through the turn. I am glad to see that I was still tight on the inside when we collided.

You could say I'm getting a little more aggressive but it's more that I'm not going to let the other drivers force me into stupid mistakes. I'm at the point that I refuse to shoot myself in the foot anymore. I'm an early braker compared to the best drivers in GPL now and I would try to brake too late because I would worry about being rear-ended. Now I just drive as fast as I can and let anybody behind me deal with it. I deal with it with few problems except I hit Enrique at Spa. Braking or lifting a tiny bit before he reached my normal braking or lift point didn't work that time. That's one of the few times that tactic has failed me if not the only time.

I guess it helped me a lot that Enna is my favorite "oval". PIR and Enna are the only two "ovals" that I really like. I enjoy driving any of the cars on those two tracks. I had barely driven the F2's here until this last week but I've run plenty of laps here in the 67 312 and 71 M8F and 712 just like PIR. I doubt I would have done so well if I didn't like this track so much.

It's nice to get a win when I usually don't fair so well on tracks that the slipstream has such a big influence. I drove well and I was very focused. Arturo and Donnie made me give it everything I had. Luckily I had no big problems except at one point it was too much pressure on me and I relinquished 2nd place to take a break from the intensity of it all. I also had a moment late in the 2nd heat on the 2nd to last lap where I had the car in a long slide into the 2nd to last corner. Had I downshifted as usual I would have surely spun. I also got lucky that both Arturo and Donnie faltered near the end of both heats. I ran as fast as I could through almost all of both heats except a short time in the 2nd heat. I thought I might be able to get away from Arturo at one point in the 1st when he had some trouble in the 2nd to last turn but the 2 second gap that opened up then was still not enough to break the slipstream. I was running 13.8 laps and Arturo still quickly closed the gap.

That was some excellent driving Arturo and Donnie. I appreciate what gentlemen you two were. You never tried to force the situation or doing anything stupid that would cause a wreck. I tried to do the same. It was a shame that Arturo suffered technical problems in the second heat. At that point I was content to run in 3rd place until late in the race or Donnie started to get away from us. I slowed more than usual and I was still worried I might not be slowing enough and your car would reappear in the same place as mine. I was relieved when I realized that wasn't going to happen but a bit disappointed to see your race ruined like that.

Thanks guys. I appreciate you letting me race with you.
Greg Taber
